The 11th ANNUAL ATHENS AREA STAND DOWN EVENT provides food, clothing and personal care items to homeless or those Veterans and individuals at risk of being homeless . In addition, participants also receive information on available health care, housing solutions, employment services, substance use treatment, mental health counseling and other essential services. The date is Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Athens County Fairgrounds from 10 am to 2 pm.
